October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Almost every one of us knows someone who has been touched in some way by breast cancer, so why not talk to our kids about this disease and help them become more aware?

Cancer can sometimes be a scary thing for children to understand—it’s a scary thing for adults to understand!—but the more we read about it, talk about it, and learn about it, the better.

Print out this page of Breast Cancer Awareness tags, cut them out, and share them.

Forward this post to your children’s teachers, your neighbors, and your friends. The more who partake in this conversation, the better.

Consider laminating the whole sheet before cutting and then attaching a pin to each small circle or square so that children and adults can pin them to their shirts or coats. Or simply tape them on—whatever is best for the recipient.
